Welcome to Bickleigh-on-Exe Church of England Primary School
I am both delighted and proud to be able to offer you a warm welcome to Bickleigh-on-Exe CE Primary School. We are a small rural school, situated in the Exe Valley, which offers a rounded education to 150 children aged 2 to 11 years. We benefit from strong links with the local community and our local church, St Mary’s.
Whether your child joins us in Pre-school, Reception, or partway through their primary school years, we can promise a nurturing and supportive environment for your child to flourish. At the heart of our provision are our values – kindness, collaboration, respect, responsibility and honesty. We believe that these are essential to ensure development of individuals as a whole and are vitally important for success in adult life, alongside the academic knowledge and skills that our pupils gain during their time with us.
Education at Bickleigh is a partnership between school and our families. We make sure you are supported as parents and your child feels respected, safe and secure while being encouraged to take an active role and increasing responsibility for their own education. From exploration and challenge both in and out of the classroom to a range of extra-curricular activities such as instrumental lessons and residential visits, there is a huge breadth of opportunity available to your child at Bickleigh School. Our role is to help your child enjoy these opportunities, to make the most of every day and to have fun along the way.
We are delighted to offer a thriving breakfast club from 7:45am and an after-school club until 6:00pm every day.
I hope our website gives you a sense of what a busy, purposeful and ambitious school Bickleigh is, and an understanding of the values that we share, but it is no substitute for a visit. If you would like to learn more about what we have to offer, please contact the school to arrange a visit.
