Letterboxing at Prewley Moor, Dartmoor – 16th June 2017
Pupils from Years 4 & 5 travelled to Dartmoor to complete their first letter boxing trail. Pupils combined their orienteering and puzzle solving skills to find a series of hidden stamps. A great deal of ingenuity, perseverance and team work was demonstrated along the way…well done to all!
Thank you to the Rotary Club who organised this event, and the fantastic Mrs Humphreys for supporting the trip.
Choir Sing at a Local Wedding
A small group of KS2 pupils sang at a wedding at St Peters Church. They were a real credit to the school, and of course sang beautifully!

Class 1 Visit the Pub!
Class 1 would like to say a HUGE thank you to Mr and Mrs Kirk and the staff at The Fisherman’s Cot for allowing us to visit for their snack last week. The children enjoyed ordering and eating out.
Despite a few mornings of frost, our potato patch is still going strong! Each class is looking forward to harvesting their crop in time for the Mid Devon Show in July!
Spring Variety Show
A huge well done to all the children that performed at the New Hall, Tiverton on Saturday evening. The children dazzles the audience with a variety of acts including maypole dancing, singing and hand bells. The children performed brilliantly and were a credit to the school. Thank you to Mrs Hobson, Mrs Humphreys and Mrs Baker for all their hard work supporting the children!
Evacuee Experience Day
On Monday 15th May, Class 3 took a trip to Nothe Fort in Weymoutn for an Evacuee Experience day. All children dressed fully in 1940’s Evacuee dress and their parents even waved them off at the beginning of the day. The children had a fantastic time. They experienced: a 1940’s classroom (with a terrifying headteacher); a 1940’s shop (with real imperial money); a real air raid and hiding in an Anderson shelter; they put out a fire with a 1940’s water pump and hose and a 1940’s washing room (the washing took forever!). The children had a great day and learnt a lot about what it was like to live in World War Two. However, we were all very happy to be back in 2017 at the end of the day!
Exmoor Challenge Finishers 2017
