Tiverton Local Learning Community Sporting Events
Congratulations to all children who represented the school in the recent Local Learning Community Sporting Events. Our Y5/6 girls achieved an outstanding third and first place at the multi-sports festival. Our mixed Y5/6 Football teams were pipped at the post, coming an overall third and fifth out of 16 teams. Many congratulations to all pupils who took part –for their success and the high level of collaboration and respect that was demonstrated throughout.
Letterboxing at Prewley Moor, Dartmoor – 16th June 2017
Pupils from Years 4 & 5 travelled to Dartmoor to complete their first letter boxing trail. Pupils combined their orienteering and puzzle solving skills to find a series of hidden stamps. A great deal of ingenuity, perseverance and team work was demonstrated along the way…well done to all!
Thank you to the Rotary Club who organised this event, and the fantastic Mrs Humphreys for supporting the trip.
Choir Sing at a Local Wedding
A small group of KS2 pupils sang at a wedding at St Peters Church. They were a real credit to the school, and of course sang beautifully!
2017 Mock Elections
Year 6 candidates battle it out to win Bickleigh School’s 2017 Mock Elections.
Bickleigh Brass Band
A group of Key Stage 2 pupils have formed the school’s first brass band! Well done to all those pupils involved and thank you to our fantastic peripatetic teacher, Mr Fitton.
Despite a few mornings of frost, our potato patch is still going strong! Each class is looking forward to harvesting their crop in time for the Mid Devon Show in July!
Spring Variety Show
A huge well done to all the children that performed at the New Hall, Tiverton on Saturday evening. The children dazzles the audience with a variety of acts including maypole dancing, singing and hand bells. The children performed brilliantly and were a credit to the school. Thank you to Mrs Hobson, Mrs Humphreys and Mrs Baker for all their hard work supporting the children!
Exmoor Challenge Finishers 2017
The children did well and completed the Exmoor Challenge
